Yeehaw, Sunshine Coast!
Hold onto your cowboy hats, Sunshine Coast — a brand-new country music festival is rolling into town and it’s bringing some of the world’s biggest stars with it.
Strummingbird Festival is set to make its grand debut at the Kawana Sports Precinct on Saturday 25 October 2025, kicking off a three-city tour that’s bound to put Australia’s love of country music front and centre. And for the Sunshine Coast, this is no ordinary gig — this is huge.
Global phenomenon Jelly Roll will headline the festival, marking his first-ever performance in Australia. Fresh off his chart-topping album Beautifully Broken and viral ABC documentary Save Me, Jelly Roll’s blend of raw storytelling and powerhouse vocals has struck a chord with fans around the world.
Joining him is Shaboozey, the genre-blending trailblazer whose mega-hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” dominated the Billboard charts, redefining what modern country can be. This will be his Australian debut, and trust us — you don’t want to miss it.

But Strummingbird’s star-studded lineup doesn’t stop there. Expect high-energy sets from Texas country rockers Treaty Oak Revival, Australia’s own James Johnston (Raised Like That), rising country-pop sensation Kaylee Bell, rodeo cowboy turned country crooner Wade Forster, soulful singer-songwriter Julia Cole, fan-favourite Rachael Fahim, and the foot-stomping Jack Wharff Band.
Also hitting the stage are Matt Hansen, Drew Baldridge, The Dreggs, Zac & George, and breakout star Denvah. And to close out the night, party legend Hot Dub Time Machine will transform the festival grounds into a time-traveling country rock dance floor.

But Strummingbird is more than just a music festival — it’s a full-blown country carnival. Between sets, you can:
Saddle up and test your grit on the mechanical bull.
Two-step your way to the Howdy Howdy Saloon, where line dancing queen Maddison Glover will be leading the fun.
Feast on smoky BBQ delights, sip on ice-cold drinks, and browse a treasure trove of country merch and fashion.
As the sun goes down, make your way to the Late Night Riot — a wild, anything-goes afterparty that’ll feel just like your favourite country town pub.
With its killer lineup and down-home festivities, Strummingbird promises to bring a whole new kind of country experience to the Sunshine Coast.
