Here on the Sunshine Coast, the water calls to us like a siren to the sea — so it's no surprise we take our soaking seriously.

When we’re not beaching, we’re bathing in style. From hot spring-fed bathhouses in the hinterland to magnesium plunge pools under the stars, or social soaks with bubbles in hand — we’re always chasing new places to hit pause and let the water work its magic.

Bathing isn’t just a luxury anymore — it’s therapy. In a world that’s always on, slowing down to float is essential. And lucky for us, the Sunshine Coast is brimming with bathhouses, plunge pools, and recovery hubs ready to help you unwind, reset, and soak up the good stuff.

Bath in the countryside

For a rustic, nature-immersed escape, Kin Kin Spring Bathhouse offers a unique farm-style soak like no other. Perched on a quiet hillside, their two private bathhouses accommodate 1-2 guests each, perfect for couples or small groups. You’ll be chauffeured by buggy to your secluded bathhouse, where your baths are drawn and ready, overlooking sweeping countryside views — just you, the birds, and the occasional curious cow. It’s a two-hour immersion designed for two people from $129--you can even BYO drinks and nibbles.

Tucked away in the rolling pastures of Bli Bli, Tank Day Spa & Bathhouse is the ultimate private daycation for couples and close friends. With only two guests in the bathhouse at any time, it’s a serene and exclusive escape. Relax in botanical-infused magnesium baths, a hot stone cedar sauna, and a Moroccan-style steam room before indulging in a gourmet paddock-to-plate feast on the deck, Hamptons style. Every bath blend — think peppermint elderflower, lemon myrtle, hibiscus — is crafted to nourish your skin and soul. A luxurious, intimate retreat designed for pure relaxation and connection.

Wildfire Fitness has launched a new recovery and wellness area in Eumundi, featuring two 8-seater barrel saunas — one traditional, one infrared — plus dual ice baths set at 4°C and 9°C for contrast therapy. Sessions run for 45 minutes, with the flexibility to move between hot and cold. Casual passes and memberships are available, making it easy to integrate into your weekly routine. A beautiful spot to recover and reset.

Set in the lush hinterland, Sixty Acres is the Sunshine Coast’s newest farm stay with a unique twist — a series of heated magnesium “moonscape” plunge pools carved into the landscape. The catch? These dreamy pools are exclusively for overnight guests, making it the perfect excuse to book a powered campsite or charming cabin and stay a little longer. With seven individual pools of varying depths, each soak comes with panoramic farm views. Poolside bar service, charcuterie boards, and fresh takeaways from The Farmhouse Restaurant & Bar round out this laid-back, luxe countryside experience.

For those who like their self-care with a splash of fun, Tank Bathhouse Mooloolaba is the Sunshine Coast’s answer to a luxe day club. Overlooking the river, this glam oasis features six botanical magnesium baths, a Moroccan style steam room, and a hydration station serving cocktails or mocktails to suit your vibe. Opt for a massage, graze on a waterfront lunch, or even sail into the sunset straight from the bathhouse. It’s where relaxation meets good times with friends, bubbles in hand.
